Adding milestones to your Facebook Page are a great way to let everyone know that your business is not only growing but also to recognise and acknowledge achievements within your business.
What is a Facebook Page Milestone?
Milestones can come in any form:-
- Nominated for local business awards
- Finalist for local business awards
- Winner for local business awards
- Securing new contracts
- In store renovations
- New menus
- Basically anything you want
Milestones on Facebook pages are stand out posts – they are highlighted by the blue flag and look completely different to normal posts.
Your milestones also are highlighted on your Facebook Pages About section, and when clicked on your main milestone pops up for people to read more about the milestone.
You can preview what this looks like on our Facebook Page.
How to add a milestone to your Facebook Page
Open your Facebook page on Desktop.
Click the 3 dots next to LIKED FOLLOWING SHARE …
Go to the bottom of the drop down list and click CREATE MILESTONE
Complete the Milestone popup window with the information about your milestone.
You can add photos, tag locations or other businesses / organisations and even write about what the milestone means.
Milestones can also be backdated so if you have missed some in the past you can add them – if backdating sometime it is better to HIDE FROM NEWS FEED option just to prevent your followers news feeds being filled with old milestone announcements.
